Ninth Sunday After Pentecost
Enhance your online worship experience
Whether you’re a first-time online visitor or a life-long member, we welcome and celebrate the ways you enrich our collective worship of a scattered yet gathered Children of God. As we begin our service, we invite you to light a candle, just as we do in the prelude during our in-person worship. Our two altar candles symbolize that Christ was both a human being and God. A light being carried into the world shows that Jesus Christ is for all people - everywhere. Just as a the acolyte carries the lighted candlelight into the congregation, the light symbolizes the light of Jesus Christ preceding us into the world where we as the church are to serve.

Call to Worship
One: God calls us here today.
Many: We bring our full selves to God: our strengths and our weaknesses.
One: God calls YOU here today.
Many: We offer all we are to God: our talents and our inadequacies.
One: God calls every part of us to bring divine love and light into the world!
People: We respond to that call, trusting that God is at work within us. Amen.

Prayer of Confession & Assurance of Pardon
The Bible tells us of how God continues to reach out to us, wanting to put us on the right path that we know abundant life. And it tells of a self-sacrificial love that reaches us where we are offering grace equal to every need. Know without doubt, you are forgiven and made new.
We are forgiven and made new. Thanks be to God.
