Welcome
Call to Worship
We come to worship, remembering God’s goodness that has carried us and sustained us to this present moment.
We remember the days when God covered us in love and filled us with joy.
We come to worship, weary from stress, heavy with grief, and wondering when relief will come.
We long for the days God covered us in love and filled us with joy.
We come to worship to remember and remind one another that God’s love has never left us, and God’s joy cannot be extinguished.
God, restore us that we know your love and your joy once again.
We come to worship to remember and become the Body of Christ, a community called to restore the world around us.
God, empower us to be your restoration people who fill the world with love, laughter, and abundant life. Amen.

Resisting the Disciples: The Radical Love of Jesus | Rev. Kelly Dotson
Joys and Concerns and Prayers of the People with The Lord’s Prayer for Lent
Pastor Kelly: On this day, we come into the presence of our God, praying with our Savior as he taught us to pray:
People: Our Parent in heaven, hallowed be your name; your Kin-dom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Liturgist: We join with Christians around the world as we say:
People: Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Pastor Kelly: Lord, keep us from speaking when we should not,
Liturgist: from being silent when we should speak.
People: Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Pastor Kelly: Keep us from looking at things we should not see,
Liturgist: from listening to things we should not hear.
People: Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Pastor Kelly: Help us navigate the world's distractions safely.
Liturgist: Help us to pay attention to you.
People: Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Prayer of Confession
Loving God, We confess that too often we resist love when it feels uncomfortable.
We hide behind good intentions, efficiency, and appearances,
Afraid to be vulnerable, afraid to give too much.
We judge what we do not understand,
Quick to label others, slow to show grace.
We cling to the myth of scarcity,
Believing there is never enough —
Not enough time, not enough resources,
Not enough love to go around.
Forgive us, O God,
For the ways we withhold our hearts,
For the times we turn away from tenderness,
And for the moments we fail to trust in your abundant grace.
Help us to resist the pressures that keep us from loving fully.
Teach us to pour ourselves out boldly,
Just as Mary poured out her love for Jesus.
In Christ’s name, we pray. Amen.
