⛪ Missional Network Pulpit Exchange Coming to Mars Hill on March 10
Not only is Mars Hill United Methodist Church part of the Blue Ridge District of the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church, we are part of the North Buncombe Missional Network with Bright Hope Laurel and churches in the Weaverville area including Salem United Methodist Church.
During our 9:45 am Worship on March 10, we will be joined by the Rev. Drew Nix, pastor of Salem United Methodist Church in Weaverville. Lisa will be preaching from Salem’s pulpit. Join us to hear from Drew and celebrate Girl Scout Sunday.

Rev. Drew Nix will preach at Mars Hill and Bright Hope Laurel United Methodist Churches on March 10
The Rev. Drew T. Nix was appointed as Salem’s pastor in July 2022. He is a graduate of Wake Forest University (BA Religion, 2018) and the Candler School of Theology at Emory University (MDiv 2021).
His passions for ministry include teaching about the Hebrew scriptures, equipping disciples to serve in the community, having conversations about questions of faith, and leading vibrant worship.
Drew is married to his best friend, Kylie, who works for MANNA Food Bank and is trained as a social worker. Drew and Kylie are the parents/subjects of two cats, Frodo and Walter.
In his free time, Drew enjoys watching college football, reading science fiction, cheering for the Braves, cooking,and hiking.
