Expressing God’s Love for ALL: Join Us at Blue Ridge Pride on September 30

Join us for a very special procession through the city of Asheville during the Annual Welcoming Procession (Parade) at Blue Ridge Pride and during the day on September 30 at the annual Blue Ridge Pride Festival. Line up will start at 10 am.

Blue Ridge Pride wants the world to know that the majority of people and organizations in western North Carolina aspire to be a community that is truly welcoming and affirming. And, Mars Hill United Methodist Church will join other many other faith communities, groups, families and friends for a half-mile walk in downtown Asheville.

This procession is for everyone – not just members of the LGBTQ community. Blue Ridge Pride seeks a community where all are welcome to work, shop, and congregate as their authentic selves – regardless of their race, ethnicity, sex, disability, class, sexual orientation, gender identity, or religion.

Want to participate by joining the procession and participating in our booth at the festival? Connect with Heath for more details.

About the 2023 Pride Procession

On Saturday, September 30, Blue Ridge Pride will kick off the 12th Annual Blue Ridge Pride Festival with a procession through the city of Asheville.

Join Mars Hill United Methodist Church and Blue Ridge as we proceed across the city and into the heart of the festival. We will start gathering at 10 am across from 23 Grove Street for the half-mile journey

This year’s festival, while keeping true to Blue Ridge Pride’s core “ACES” Advocate, Community, Educate, Serve, we are highlighting ADVOCATE. Blue Ridge Pride’s 2023 theme this year is ADVOCATE! They felt this year’s theme is especially appropriate with the bad bills, anti-drag narrative and numerous other attacks against the LGBTQ+ community. We encourage you to make signs, wave your flags, and show your Pride! This procession is inclusive and Blue Ridge Pride welcomes anyone who supports the rights of the LGBTQ+ community. We are working with disability specialists to ensure this will be an accessible procession.
