Prayer of Confession and Assurance of Pardon
God of life, we come before you in need of your renewing love. At times we have chosen the easy path and not done the hard work of following your commandments. At times, the choice of selfishness is too easy to resist. You know the weakness of our determination and the wounds of our lives that have left us weak. In silence, we lift to you the things that we have done and left undone that have fallen short of your great calling and we lift our wounds that leave us so susceptible to sin. Shower us with your grace and healing.
Silent prayer
God of grace, you wash away our missteps and imbue us with your abundant life. Let the power of your grace and love move us through our days. In Christ's name, we pray
Amen
The love of God is incomprehensible. The grace of God is unfathomable. The power of God is unstoppable. Know that this power lives in you. In the name of Jesus Christ you are forgiven and made new.
