Rejoice in God’s Saints: How to Share Thanksgiving for Those in Glory

All Saints Sunday will be observed November 6 this year

All Saints Day, observed on November 6 this year is a sometimes-overlooked holy day in some congregations. It is not nearly as well known as the day before, All Hallows' (Saints') Eve, better known as Halloween, but is far more important in the life of the church.

In our first Sunday of the month tradition, our All Saints Sunday worship will feature the celebration of Holy Communion and Great Thanksgiving, including giving thanks to the saints on Earth and those in Glory. This year, our All Saints worship service will feature a performance by our handbell choir under the directorship of Mrs. Lucy Butterworth. We welcome and encourage you to worship alongside us - online or in-person on November 6 at 11:15 am.

What is All Saints Day / All Saints Sunday?

All Saints Day is an opportunity to give thanks for all those who have gone before us in the faith. It is a time to celebrate our history, what United Methodists call the tradition of the church.

For this All Saints Sunday, let us prepare to give thanks for both the saints in glory and those on earth, who have led us to Jesus. As they have shared the gospel with us, may we add our voices so someone else may hear about the grace and love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
