Little Free Library is a nonprofit working towards expanding book access through a network of book-exchange boxes. Mars Hill United Methodist Church has sponsored the opening of a Little Free Library - the first in Mars Hill - located in front of the church with the goal of allowing the students and families of Mars Hill to have access to free books. Parents are encouraged to bring their children to the library to take a free book while leaving a book for another child to read.

The Mars Hill UMC community have been very supportive and have ensured that the library stays full of books for students to read. With the preschool in the church and the bus stop located at the church, the library has seen many visitors.

The library was repainted in November, but there will be more decorations to come in the spring!

Please spread the word of this library with community members. There are Facebook and Instagram pages for the library, and we are located on the Little Free Library Website!
